I've also seen "The Grinch Who Got Really Angry," and goodness, was this one bad. The film's pacing is practically flat, the special effects have aged even worse than Iron Man, the direction is much more bland and for most of the time lacks inspiration, practically what Iron Man could have been in one of my mind's scenarios. The villain is honestly pretty embarrassing; he has no real motivation other than to be the strongest of them all. The film also doesn't have a very interesting plot; it's just Bruce Banner trying to cure himself while being chased by the army, with surrounding situations that are meant to add spice but without a satisfying main course, it's of little use. Moreover, Banner's character isn't very well-developed; he's a bit too anonymous... or stoic? Nah, he's just written superficially. To be fair, the film also wants to discuss how such power can be dangerous in the wrong hands... a month after Iron Man, which addressed it much better with a more engaging story, a more developed protagonist, and a more credible villain. Overall, this Hulk is ugly, and what's most frustrating is that it had the right elements, but seriously, how does one make a Hulk movie so boring to watch?
