I have always admired his courage in going to play in the band of someone who had already been the drummer for Nirvana, just to say... He was an excellent drummer, Taylor Hawkins, effective and powerful, technical and essential, who calmly declared John Bonham's legacy as primary and inevitable. He and Dave liked Ringo, Copeland, and Collins, but rock should be played like Bonham did, they always said. And maybe now they are arguing over the height of the drum stool, while Jimi and Jaco tune the guitar and bass and Keith tries the Hammond.
