Picazzo, the mad painter! [a.k.a. the man who painted music while listening to paintings] [07 of 40]
Preview I Fabbri - Cima Luigi (1944)
Born in Villa di Villa di Mel, in the province of Belluno, on January 5, 1860, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where he attended the courses of Eugenio De Blaas. After completing his artistic studies, in the early 1880s, he participated in the main national art exhibitions in Venice, Milan, Turin, Genoa, Florence, and Rome. He mainly focused on scenes of rural and mountain working life in the Feltrino region, as well as Venetian landscapes and portraits. This painting appears to be autobiographical as Cima's father was a blacksmith. [source associazionefeudo.it]
