At my house, there's a constant and unsettling passage of wasps. I know they are very useful for the ecosystem, as they attack dangerous parasites for humans, and for this reason, I thought I'd help them at their home, before discovering that their home is in some hiding spot under the balcony. I read that there's not much musical literature about wasps (other insects have fared better), and while searching for some information, I found "Sounds of Insects" recorded by entomologist Albro T. Gaul. "The work stems from a scientific approach and has educational purposes, but in some ways, it precedes the use of field recordings in the works of avant-garde musicians like Ron Geesin and Basil Kirchin, and pop groups like The Beatles and Pink Floyd." The quote is taken from pincopanco a very interesting site. Its claim is "the encyclopedia of the eccentric." I'll ask them for a partnership.
