On August 29, 1994, a 17-year-old girl, on a study holiday, walked into an HMV on Oxford Street and bought what, without knowing it yet, would become the most important album of her musical life, the reference point around which all others would revolve, and from which a visceral and lasting love for those 2 cocky dock loaders was about to be born.
