The shocking ending of Twin Peaks resets and rewrites the space-time coordinates, opening up to multiple possible interpretations (as always with Lynch), each of which is extremely unsettling and not remotely conciliatory, marking a new (final?) destination of Lynch's work. Lynch is objectively one of the greatest living artists.
