Help, I just finished Penguindrum and my brain is mush. Right now, I can't really formulate a judgment, the line between an absolute masterpiece of hermeticism and colossal nonsense is razor-thin XD However, the screenplay seems really uneven to me (excessive length on Ringo and the stalking (what for?) while some very important issues like the resolution of Yuri or the storyline of Sanetoshi and Momoka are wrapped up in a second) and felt contrived to favor the cliffhangers obsessively presented throughout the episodes, and the plausibility goes out the window XD

Utena remains a notch above, if only for the very elegant graphic style imho.
