For the many who (unfortunately) do not know this curious group, be aware that the Ozric Tentacles are an English band conceived and led by that genius guitarist, keyboardist, and composer Ed Wynne. He and his band, after several years of live performances, decided in 1989 to enter the studio and release their first LP "Pungent Effulgent".

How to describe the unique style of the Ozrics? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I see it as psychedelic-instrumental-electronic rock: psychedelic rock because anyone can hear the background of 60s lysergic sounds, instrumental because, apart from the first track, all their pieces are instrumental, while the electronic aspect comes from the fact that they heavily use synthesized sounds, synthesizers, and endless loops.

Anyway, the fact remains that their compositions mainly convey one thing to me: relaxation. It's perfect in the evening, when one returns home tired from the day's labors, to lie on the bed, and with closed eyes, let yourself be lulled by their sweet and relaxing music: it will seem like traveling to fantastic places like the dreamlike cover depicts. To those who don't know the band, I strongly recommend listening to the album with great calmness and an open mind, and fantastic worlds will unfold...

Best tracks: "Dissolution (The Clouds Disperse"), "The Domes Of G'Bal", "Ayurvedic", "Kick Muck", "Agog In The Ether".
