Good musician, he has written and collaborated since the 60s with a wide spectrum of Italian music, from Tenco, Battisti, De André, Bertè, Tozzi, Baccini, Dario Fo.......Famous for the theme of Domenica Sprint, "stadium", but also for being the author of the beautiful music "Pensiero Stupendo" by Patty Pravo, a song born from the collaboration with Ivano Fossati who wrote the lyrics. From this partnership emerged significant moments in Italian music history (for example Jesahel by Delirium) and an LP "Poco prima dell'aurora", a watershed between the end of the Delirium experience and the fantastic solo career of Ivano Fossati. However, this record had little fortune, just as the 3 records signed by Prudente from '73 to '77 did, up until the release of Donna che vai. Ingredients of the record: music by Oscar Prudente, lyrics by Bruno Lauzi and Ivano Fossati (2 tracks), musicians Walter Calloni, Bob Callero, Claudio Pascoli, Massimo Luca (among others). Quality ingredients, but a poorly made cake. Besides the embarrassing attempt to mimic disco music on a couple of occasions (I imagine there was hope to create a Hit with the last possible recording opportunity), the album suffers from Prudente's pitiful vocal interpretation which could boast of anything except singing qualities. Flat interpretation, absolutely expressionless and monotonous, which unfortunately clashes with the more than decent work of the ever-praised Lauzi, author of interesting lyrics, equal to the pieces signed by Fossati. Worth mentioning are "Ci si innamora" and "Capelli rossi" and "Magari ritorni". A little too little and perhaps too much was enough to end the solo career here.
