Italian progressive rock group formed in 1971 with involvement from Franco Battiato; released the album Arrow Head in 1972 and dissolved shortly after.

Franco Battiato participated in the founding and co-signed early material; the group recorded the single "Un falco nel cielo" which became a TV theme (an English version titled "Prehistoric Sound" was also proposed). The CD reissue by BFT includes bonus tracks of the single versions.

Osage Tribe was formed in 1971 with Franco Battiato involved in its founding. Their album Arrow Head (1972) is praised as an extraordinary progressive record with strong instrumental cohesion. The group produced a successful TV single, then dissolved shortly after the album's release. The CD reissue includes bonus single versions.

 In 1971, Franco Battiato, following more or less casual encounters, particularly with the drummer "Cucciolo" Favia, founded a group named after a not very well-known Indian tribe, the Osage.
