On the Internet, there's a lot of buzz about these Oryzon, with grand comparisons and splendid words seemingly at the order of the day in every one of their reviews. So, intrigued, I decided to dive into this work. And never, like in this case, have most of the "critics" been right, I must admit it.

The Milan-based Oryzon, despite their youth, have talent to spare in the rock field, proving themselves to be very attentive listeners of everything the U.S. and British scenes have offered from the '70s to today. In the five tracks present, various schools of thought and styles are reviewed, ranging from stoner to prog, all infused with elegance and the ability to make listenable even what doesn't seem so at first listen. In short, a fine work, where each musician has contributed something personal to the project. If we were to be picky, we would want even more courage from Oryzon in the future to abandon the discernible (yet never cumbersome) influences present in "Taste The Flavour".

Great skills and attention to detail, if Oryzon continue on this path, we can say we are in front of a splendid reality.
