Orphanage was a Dutch gothic/death metal band formed in the early 1990s (1993) that released demos (Morph, Druid) and studio albums including Oblivion, By Time Alone, Inside and Driven. The band disbanded in 2005.

The band combined gothic atmospheres with death-metal elements and used both male (George Oosthoek) and female (Rosan van der Aa, who replaced Martine van Loon in 1995) vocals. Demos include Morph and Druid; Driven (2004) is frequently cited as their final and most acclaimed album.

The reviews praise Orphanage for blending gothic atmospheres with death-metal heaviness. Driven (2004) is singled out as the band's peak. Vocals by George Oosthoek and Rosan van der Aa are highlighted. The band formed in the early 1990s and disbanded in 2005.

For:Fans of gothic metal and death metal seeking melodic yet heavy music.

The record I liked the most from this band is "Driven" (2004), and it is the last album released by Orphanage, since they disbanded in 2005.
