I wanted to review that album that someone gave me.
I went to the living room, turned on the Mathmos lamp I have on the TV (you know, the one with the colored wax inside that heats up on the bulb and takes on strange shapes??), turned on the laptop, turned on the 16-year-old stereo with its beautiful walnut solid wood speakers... But where on earth is the CD? It's not here... and under here?? Nothing. In the suitcase?? No way!!! There it is... I see the case, but what a disappointment, the CD is in the car.
It's snowing outside, as if I'm going to the garage in slippers to get the CD.
I've listened to it so many times I know it by heart...!

I feel a sense of annoyance; I try to shake it off with a good peaty-tasting Scotch whisky. That strange taste that tingles the tongue. And those notes immediately come to mind. That old school sound, so New York but not Fifth Avenue, rather Soho, Tribeca, Village (woe to call it Greenwich Village in full, a true New Yorker wouldn't forgive you..). Those strange places, those buildings with cast iron structure and marine wood paneling, that rough taste of mold and quicklime, that taste of sea and oil, that steam coming from the manholes.

Track number 3 captivated me; maybe I can find the title on Google, oh yes, here it is, "..will be unbroken" that would make your Bang Olufsen speakers (loser) vibrate, just as track 5, "Chronos Splinter," is amazing with its rhythm making the sequential chains of nucleic acids you're composed of vibrate.

An album that remains etched in your memory, you can review it even if you left it in the garage.

I lie down on the sofa, looking for a phrase to nicely conclude this review, born under the worst auspices. The purple wax swirls in the amniotic liquid of the lamp, just like my feelings are doing at this moment. I let myself go, with those notes still vibrating inside me.

Where did I leave the glass? And the CD?? The cell phone??? Damn it, just leave me with that taste in my mouth for a little longer....
