In short, these OOIOO (pronounced oh oh yai oh oh, if I'm not mistaken) have all the credentials to be super-cool! And I'm so happy about it, that! I! Can't! Supp!r!e!ss!!e!!! I!!! EX!!!CLA!M!A!T!I!O!N! POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just like teenyboppers (me, not the OOIOO, eh!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same Yoshimi who left the pink robots in the dust! Yes, yes, her! The half rhythm section/screaming monkey/trumpeter of Boredoms! Founder of this all-female ensemble, she's reached about the eighth discus (the one I'm talking about is their second release for Birdman, year 2001) with her companions, but let's not consider it a said project, for God's sake. Because the only thing in common with Boredoms is a certain crazy attitude, but the path taken by OOIOO is quite different, to be clear. More "accessible", perhaps, in the sense that the Japanese girls here aim more at a pseudo-traditional concept of song. Boredoms eat the pseudo-traditional concept of song for lunch and even poop on it. This does not mean that the gals are a cover band of Ganz En Rozis, heavens! The energy flows abundantly, you can definitely feel it, it makes you want to headbutt the wall while hopping joyfully up and down! These are psychedelic trips with the blessing of the Acid Mothers Temple, kraut assaults without mayonnaise, engaging lysergic litanies & plenty of other adjectives that go well with psychedelic stuff! Indeed, the ones always used in this type of reviiiews!
