The One Stop Left is a young punk pop band from Naples, although, when listening to them, it's hard not to think they could hail from some California beach. It's precisely one of these places that the sound and the songs contained in their debut EP "Smile To Death" fully represent.
Rhythm, melody, and energy are expressed with a characteristic brightness in all four tracks, which is a trademark of the Neapolitan band, combined with a certain dose of irony and adolescent humor (reminiscent of big names in the genre like Blink-182, Sum 41, New Found Glory...)
A listen is not exactly original, but it still enjoys a certain personality and will surely delight fans of the genre, especially of the bands mentioned above.
The idea of covering a classic like "Our House" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young in a punk pop version is great.
Give it a listen!
