LA RECENSIONE

Even having listened to only this album, I can say with great confidence and tranquility that O.D.M. are today one of the best Italian bands (at least as far as the "noise" scene is concerned, or even better, "hard-blues"). There are many analogies with groups of the caliber of the Jesus Lizard, the Butthole Surfers, and also the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (for whom they opened twice). Their music is indeed characterized by a dirty and powerful blues, as happens in "No North," "Babylon," and "Inferno," but also, in certain cases, a sort of "power-pop rock" like in the beautiful "Saint Roy" and in "This Man In Me." Also noteworthy is the frenetic "Elvis" and the unsettling "You Kill Me."

If you get the chance to see them live, do it, they are amazing!
