Omnia Opera is an English psychedelic prog band that formed in 1985.
After their initial attempts, which garnered increasing interest from the local audience in Birmingham, and after various vicissitudes, the group disbanded in 1989.
It was reassembled under the impetus of Richard Allen, founder of Delerium Records, a record label specializing in psychedelia and garage, in 1992.
Since then, they have released two albums.
This second album is a mix of space rock progressive psychedelia that is not easy to digest. There are ten tracks, but even if it were just a single jam, the difference wouldn't be noticed.
Electric guitar, keyboards, synthesizer, sampler, a drum set, a male voice, and a female voice. Rhythms that are sometimes pounding, other times lost in spacey keyboard excursions. Always an acidic guitar. Never predictable sounds just around the corner. Fluid despite the progressive-style sound chaos.
An album not for everyone, also because it's hard to find.
However, if you manage to get it, you'll treasure it like a rare gem, to savor a few times, but you'll discover you can no longer do without it.
