Olhon

Olhon is the project of Tuscan artist Zairo Nucciotti. Beginning in 2001, Olhon's releases transform field recordings of wind and water into ambient / musique concrète works without using synthesizers or traditional instruments.

Veiovis (2001) features underwater recordings captured from Central Italian lakes (including a piece recorded in Lake Albano). The project's creative process emphasizes captured natural sounds processed in the studio; earlier work used wind recordings as source material.
