On April 24, 1995, the release of the single "Some Might Say" paved the way for Oasis's second album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, undoubtedly the band's celebratory work, a great commercial promise that everyone, sooner or later, came to recognize.

The A-side, the last to feature Tony McCarroll on drums, is one of those tracks that defines and makes it clear what Oasis were during that period: wonderful melodies, '70s influences, and a wall of powerful and distorted guitars.

Noel Gallagher, the author of all the songs on the album, crafts seemingly disconnected but strongly evocative images on the theme of fame in the lyrics, delaying the social struggle status that characterized the lyrics of Definitely Maybe.

But Noel was so inspired that even the B-sides were true hits. We're talking about the delicate ballad "Talk Tonight," the fiery whirlwind of hard-glam electricity "Headshrinker," and one of the most important songs of the Cool Britannia generation, "Acquiesce."

Outside the norms of a life set on the tracks of tranquility and bourgeois inhibition, Oasis want to be a band on the side of the people and for the people, and this will be rewarded with first place in the UK charts.
