The Profile

American alternative rock band led by frontwoman Inger Lorre, best known for their self-titled 1991 album released on Geffen Records. The band emerged from the Los Angeles scene and disbanded after their early success; members have reunited intermittently.

Formed in 1985. Released the self-titled album 'The Nymphs' in 1991 on Geffen Records. The album includes a cameo by Iggy Pop on the track "Supersonic." The band released the EP 'A Practical Guide to Astral Projection' and appeared in the film 'Bad Influence' (as noted in contemporary coverage). Frontwoman Inger Lorre later released solo material including the album 'Transcendental Medication.' Original drummer Alex Kirst died in a traffic incident in early 2011.

DeBaser hosts a single, enthusiastic review of Nymphs highlighting their explosive self-titled 1991 album on Geffen, fronted by Inger Lorre. The review praises the record's blend of grunge and gritty alt-rock, notes an Iggy Pop cameo, and laments the band's early breakup and limited reprints.
