THE REVIEW

Under the criminal record section for Dominic Palermo, there is a conviction for attempted murder with a corresponding prison term of two years, which he served to atone for his sins. And perhaps it's from here that he found the time to reflect, start anew, and work calmly on his new musical creation.

"Guilty Of Nothing" will satisfy the tastes of many, as it is filled with great songs that follow one after the other without pause, embracing the sounds of Slowdive and beyond.

But there is a catch: it is an aesthetically perfect album, but are you ready to be immersed in a murky fog and disappear into the ether? Are you disappointed by life? Are you sure this is the album you need right now?
If you answered positively to at least two of the three questions, then "Guilty Of Everything" is also your medicine, but it may not be the cure.

Amidst delays, reverbs & company, the hardcore soul of Palermo's previous project Horror Show ("Bent Nail" first and "Get Well" later) emerges (marginally, it must be said), breaking a bit the shoegaze chain letter ("Dig" - "Endlessly" pairing will knock you out if you're emotional). Palermo's melancholic voice, in contrast, resembles a seductive Chino Moreno, but pulled away from his natural alt-metal cradle.

Try also to atone for your sins.

Summary by Bot

Nothing's debut album 'Guilty Of Everything' offers a perfect shoegaze experience filled with continuous great songs and immersive reverb-heavy soundscapes. Dominic Palermo's troubled past colors the emotional depth of the music, blending melancholic vocals reminiscent of Chino Moreno with hardcore influences. The album challenges listeners to embrace its foggy, haunting aura and confront feelings of disappointment and introspection. It's a compelling, emotional journey for fans of alternative and shoegaze rock.
