Rage, fear, frustration, suffering, excruciating pain, but also hope and introspection, are the first words that came to mind when I finished listening to "The 7 Obstruction" by the Pugliese band Nontoccatemiranda, in my opinion one of the best Italian post-hardcore bands, and soon to be European, raw power, you would need a helmet to emerge unscathed from their concert, the guitars are surgical and powerful, the rhythm section never misses a beat, then there's the voice, plaintive and expressive in the clean parts, aggressive and lacerating in the shouted parts, they could be distantly compared to Refused but it wouldn't do justice to either group mentioned, seeing them live is a unique experience, not to be missed, the album was recorded in 2004 (when they were not yet a quintet, as it’s been about a year that another excellent guitarist has joined the line-up permanently) and contains 7 wild fragments ready to pierce your ears + a short acoustic intro, tracks that seem untitled at first glance, as you go from "Obstruction 000" to "Obstruction 007", but once you see the booklet, each "Obstruction" has its own title, among which we mention "Sunday Morning" ("Obstruction 001"), "Spectrum Delay And The Distance" ("Obstruction 004") and the superlative "Jesus's Son (Clouds Of Different Shapes)" ("Obstruction 007").
