When Evening Comes is one of the albums by the eternal Nomadi that, in my opinion, is among the most beautiful, yet also among the most underrated. In fact, very few of the songs in this album were later revisited and performed live.
In general, the album highlights Chris's electric guitar alternated and often in duets that nearly touch upon the psychedelic with Beppe's keyboards, in addition to Dante's pulsating bass and Paolo's frenetic and intelligent rhythms. There's nothing to criticize about Augusto's voice; it knows how to be warm and enveloping as usual, drawing the listener even more into the songs.

Specifically, the album opens with "The Night Train", a very rocking piece that highlights Chris's guitar and Beppe's keyboards. It is followed by "Rolling Away," performed with Beppe on the piano and Chris alternating between the violin and electric guitar in a song full of sadness, which will be featured in future concerts.
"My Home" is the third track, much more cheerful and rhythmic than the previous one, in which all the instruments blend into a delightful and joyful almost rustic ballad. The fourth piece is "The Bonfire," another very dark and intense song dominated by the keyboards of both Beppe and Chris, Dante's excellent bass, and the constant percussion, also on the edge of the psychedelic.
"In the Evening" is another very intense piece led by the tribal rhythms of Paolo's percussion and the bass, this time with Chris's violin in the foreground supported once again greatly by master Beppe Carletti and even on several occasions by a vocalization by Augusto.
Another piece that will be revisited live in the future is the mysterious "Chaotic Signals," a strong track dominated once again by Dante's bass sounds and the nearly psychedelic sounds of Beppe's keyboards, giving the song a very occult and dark atmosphere in perfect tune with the lyrics dedicated to UFOs. The electric guitar is excellently present, as throughout the album, and reinforced by Paolo's very active drums; just like in "Help Her" where the guitar takes center stage in a song where the message of the lyrics dominates in the refusal of drugs and their mirages.
A very personal conclusion signed by Augusto for the last track "Hey Nomadi," written by the Emilian poet and dedicated to the band members in which each performs a solo.

Excellent album, it's just a shame that it was so underrated by the public and critics, but also by the Nomadi themselves.
