THE REVIEW

Studio album number 36 in the 60th year of activity, Postcards from here is a surge of rock with bursts of romance. And it's also the last album with drummer Daniele Campani, who leaves the band after 33 years. Replacing him is Domenico Inguaggiato, the 24th member in the group's very long history.

The album opens and closes with two recitations by Neri Marcorè on texts by Guccini and Beppe Carletti, titled Us in music and Music in us.

After the beginning comes the beautiful rock duo People of the word, which the Nomads are, and Can I ask you a question, then moving on to the romance of Say it softly and the beautiful title track, as beautiful as the video that accompanies it.

One of my favorites is Sometimes it happens, while Blackbeard may or may not appeal.

The bridge kids definitely do not leave indifferent, but it is the two subsequent tracks, driven by Sergio Reggioli's violin, that are imposing. They are The Corporal and Another Rose, in which Yuri duets with Antonella Lo Coco.

This fleeting age seems to be lighter, before the second recitation that closes the album.

To the Nomads, maximum esteem and respect. Four stars to the album and their sixtieth anniversary.

Nomadi

Nomadi are an Italian music group founded in the early 1960s, strongly associated with vocalist Augusto Daolio and keyboardist Beppe Carletti. The reviews emphasize their long live activity, socially engaged songwriting (often connected to Francesco Guccini’s lyrics), and a continued career through major lineup changes after Daolio’s death.
