LA RECENSIONE

Rosso Noemi is the second album by the singer Noemi who a few years ago became famous for participating in X Factor, but who is now much more than the usual singer who emerges from TV shows. In this album, it's clear that Noemi has improved a lot compared to when she used to sing on Wednesday nights on Raidue and offers us a very mature record. The songs are all very sunny and deserve to be listened to especially in these last sad days of summer:

1. Up is one of the best songs on the album, a very rock piece but at times danceable.
2. Fortunatamente is a very delicate song where Noemi once again shows us her beautiful voice that can be powerful and whispering.
3. Vuoto a perdere is another beautiful song, also famous because Vasco Rossi wrote it and because it was featured in the film Maschi contro femmine as its soundtrack. The lyrics are very touching, a bitter reflection on life yet with the hope of a better tomorrow.
4. Sospesa at first seems almost like a sweet lullaby, at the beginning, but in the chorus it becomes almost like an Evanescence song. The guitar solo is also nice.
5. Dipendenza fisica is one of the weaker songs on the album but still enjoyable.
6. Odio tutti i cantanti is the most famous track on the album, certainly the hit of summer 2011 with lyrics that express rebellion against a society that wants us all the same and against loves thwarted by life.
7.  Poi inventi il mondo is, on the other hand, a very calm piece that talks about the end of a love story, almost moving, written by the talented Federico Zampaglione of Tiromancino.
8. Musa is another not too convincing track, but the lyrics are very poetic.
9. Le luci dell'alba is the song that closes the album worthily, my favorite after Odio tutti i cantanti.

In conclusion, without offending anyone, this is definitely the best Italian album of 2011, even better than Giorgia's and Negramaro's. A record that manages to be fun and poetic but at times very rock and gritty. The cover is also very beautiful and was designed by Noemi herself, with the song titles hidden among her red hair. More than X Factor.
