THE REVIEW

After a quite positive debut released by the English label Copro Records, No Way Out From Madness returns with a EP featuring four tracks, "Story Of A Read Book, Broken Bottle And Smoked Cigarette". A choice – to present themselves through a mini – that is quite popular nowadays, mainly useful for the bands themselves to understand through media opinions whether the path taken is valid or not.

In their case, the path chosen is certainly the most courageous: the group from Ravenna has indeed decided to abandon the golden shores of metalcore to focus on a fresher and more impactful sound, which aims to embrace what has been done by well-known names such as A Day To Remember and Haste The Day before their disbandment. New school hardcore? Post-hardcore? It's difficult to find the right definition for what this EP offers us, difficulties encountered especially in the various melodic episodes that considerably elevate the radio effectiveness of No Way Out From Madness.

With the times being what they are, recommending the purchase of an EP would be almost outrageous; surely, one should stay tuned in anticipation of the second record production from this intriguing quintet.
