THE REVIEW

I wanna fuck my computer, cause no-one in the world knows me better

Let’s be honest, this line hits a raw nerve; who hasn’t suspected that by the end of the century humans will be having sex with AI in virtual reality or in bed with robots? Will software updates replace headaches as an excuse? Maybe these are worries the average user doesn't really feel, given that the demographic seems pretty mature; anyway, I’m here to bring a breath of fresh air with the debut album from this twenty-six-year-old Australian DJ, a lover of the internet and Pokemon, released about a month ago.

This debut is an electro-bomb that takes no prisoners, similar to the already-mentioned Vision Quest, but more melodic and nostalgic, with the first track already kicking asses; a gem that would level any club amid alcohol-fueled rivers of sweat and possessed bodies, begging only to be experienced without overthinking it, and even features a moment of sincere intimacy with Sing Good.

One of the albums of the year.
