Czesław Niemen (born Czesław Juliusz Wydrzycki; 16 February 1939 – 17 January 2004) was a Polish singer, songwriter and composer known for his work in rock, progressive rock and electronic music.

Best known for the 1967 protest song Dziwny Jest Ten Swiat (Strange is This World). Appeared at the Cantagiro in 1969. Died in 2004 at age 65.
