Love and pain are an inseparable pair: in every relationship, both components are present, and often this duality is also reflected in music. This is the case with the single "Sheets On My Bed" by the great and tragically unfortunate Nick Sdereno. His is a terribly tragic story: after achieving success in November 1986, he was subjected to an ignoble censorship that drove him into a terrible depression and ultimately to his premature death (although the body was never found). Returning to the single, Nick describes a banal and repetitive love where she needs a breath of fresh air, so he decides to satisfy her with analytical love, but indeed this will cause her both pleasure and pain, and even a bit of embarrassment: in fact, the white sheets that symbolize their pure love are irreparably stained. He is deeply shocked but understands that it is just a simple blemish in their relationship. This single played a crucial role in the music scene of the time: numerous artists have said they were inspired by Nick Sdereno, and some say that without him, music as we know it today wouldn't be the same. Thus, Nick proves to be a truly important artist, even though still too underrated, who made an enormous contribution to music and whom we can indeed define as seminal.
