The New Reason do not invent anything new, but I must admit one thing: their formula—albeit predictable—I like it. Let's start from the fact that we are facing a project that owes much to A Day To Remember in style and way of conceiving a song (riffs, growl parts, and melodic chorus), a common point to many new realities of the new school scene. However, add an important factor to this: the New Reason have written a bunch of engaging tracks that are easy to listen to, which distinguishes them from the mass of clones currently in circulation. "Air Gun." The choice to present themselves with an EP is certainly spot-on (with a full-length, they might have risked tarnishing the good ideas proposed), and in the five offered songs there is power, melody, and that catchy streak that seems to mark the DNA of the band. Musically, we are not facing guitar heroes, to be clear, their riffs are what is most popular in the US-core scene, with a sound wall built with abundant doses of breakdowns and rhythmic upheavals that the younger kids like so much, and it holds up well. But as previously said, the vocals are the main course of the New Reason, with a melodically impactful tone and a powerful growl well supported in production. Excellent examples of the good work done by the five musicians are the tracks "The Best Things Of Our Life" and "My Price," which have nothing to envy compared to what is popular overseas.
