A band of maniacs; pushing and pounding hard on their instruments. Especially in the first part of their career when they knew no bounds in the ferocity of their short songs, recorded poorly to say the least, or with their asses, if you prefer. These four lunatics came from Ohio.

A short EP of only five tracks that I bought at one of their concerts many years ago at the "usual" Bloom in Mezzago; I remember that the bassist had forgotten his instrument across the Atlantic and was therefore forced to borrow one every night before going on stage. This comedic anecdote serves to illustrate the ignorance and total nonchalance of the Turks. They only wanted to spread their musical gospel everywhere: Garage-Punk played with raw vehemence at breakneck speed; mind-blowing.

A "drunken" cover and an even more entertaining back cover: the four guys, with a respectable alcohol level, united in a sort of love train. Eleven rabid minutes that offer no respite: total and overwhelming devastation.

A very brief intro of a few seconds; then the fireworks begin.

Jim’s shredding guitar, Bill’s pounding drums, and Eric’s frenzied voice: this is how the two minutes of "American Soul Spiders" open. An explosive fury, a raw concentrate that finds no barriers in its impetuous path; immediately giving way to the slightly more controlled, but not too much so, "Grounded Ex-Patriot," where they seem to want to catch their breath for just a moment before launching into the final concluding triptych that is simply pure delirium.

"Tall Order" (which isn't even listed in the track listing!), the cover of The Queers' "This Place Sucks" (48 seconds long), and the closing "Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf": an effective concentrate of how much malice they managed to bring out in their tracks. A lethal meeting between Minor Threat and the urban and bastardly Punk violence of GBH.

This place sucks, but give it a chance. They deserve it.

They autographed the CD for me, and the drummer wrote "I love the Italian wine." Not only you, my dear Bill, but also your worthy mates!!!

Ad Maiora.
