Four sons of bitches, each bigger than the last. Four slap-inducing faces that have always lived for music. Four bank accounts that would scare anyone. Four musicians who have played in bands, each more significant than the other. Four very heavy names... What are Duff Mc Kagan, Matt Sorum, and John Taylor doing together under the epitaph Neurotic Outsiders??? Some damn Punk Rock, and if they're led by a certain Steve Jones (guitarist of the Sex Pistols), then I believe you can sleep soundly knowing that this lineup knows its stuff. Twelve tracks of adrenaline-filled and raw punk, a self-titled and unique album, a comet that will only pass once, almost silently then split and never return.

In a time when the world seems to be looking at that pop punk that Green Day and Offspring will make a fortune from, the Neurotic come out with a "serious" album, direct and coherent, much closer to the seventies canons and tracks like "Six Feet Under" and "Jerk" are the honest proof of this! To enrich this very good album are also slower tracks, animated by a nostalgic and melancholic verve; "Union" is one of the most beautiful rock ballads I've ever listened to, a sincere melody with a sweet refrain, a memory that makes you reflect, touching and evocative. Jones smears his guitar and takes the microphone, Mc Kagan leaves the bass to John Taylor to grab the six strings and backup vocals, while the bassist abandons the Duran Duran canons, here it's serious business and Matt Sorum seems more at ease than in Guns n' Roses, hitting with all his might. Drunk and arrogant, here technique doesn't matter, there's just so much attitude, style, and personality and they spill it all inside an album that is still fresh and current today and has in "Nasty Ho", "Angelina", "Feelings are good", and "Revolution" real manifestos, making you want to do mischief. You take the car and blast the stereo at full volume and drive around, overturn garbage bins, piss on the cars of those who piss you off, smear the walls with slogans "I got a reason for a revolution"... which one?... None, but that's fine... Then you return home, stroke the cat, realize you're a bit drunk but that's fine... hell, I listened to and lived punk!!!!

"The good news is your dying
The bad news is I'm alive"

I don't mind, I don't really mind
Take your time, take your precious time
You're so blind, you're severly blind
But never you mind, 'cause I just came to grind

You're a bitch, I'm a jerk
I don't think that we can work
You're a prat, I'm a prick
I don't think that we will stick
I'm a cat, you're a chick
I think you deserve one more lick

Come on down
Come on down
Come on down

Be yourself, please be yourself
You're so mean do you know what I mean?
You're unkind, you're so not my kind
I need time, I need time to unwind

You're a bitch, I'm a jerk
I don't think that we can work
You're a prat, I'm a prick
I don't think that we will stick
I'm a cat, you're a chick
I think you deserve one more lick

Come on down
Come on down
Come on down

I got the big e
From the queen bee
She don't love me, she don't want me
I'm so blind, I'm so fucking blind
She's blown away my mind, she's blown away my stupid mind

You're a bitch, I'm a jerk
I don't think that we can work
You're a prat, I'm a prick
I don't think that we will stick
You're a cunt, I'm a cock
Are you ready, ready to rock?

Come on down
Come on down
Come on down
