The debut full-length of the band that introduced me to the wonderful world of Black Metal... do I need to say more? Nekrokrist SS is a band I am very, veeery fond of, and I consider their debut, "Suicide," an absolute manifesto, a manifesto of pure Raw Black Metal made in Suomi. 30 minutes of pure darkness and rot, with incredibly melodic and dark riffs (as per Finnish Black tradition), haunting desperate screams, pervasive depression, and much more. Just listen to tracks with eloquent titles like "Suicide Is Only Way," "Itsemurha" (which means "suicide" in Finnish), "Waiting the Mass Destruction," "Stench of the Burning Corpses," "Let the Churches Burn," or the final "Shoot Yourself." Soon enough, death will creep onto your shoulders, like Luca Bizzarri's Carogna in Super Ciro! But the album reaches its peak with the fourth track: "The End of Disgusting Life," the death of the soul encapsulated in a 4-minute song.

You can say anything about Nekrokrist SS, that they sympathize with the far right, that their music is crap (which is somewhat... true?), and other things, but none of that will EVER erase the LOVE I have for this wonderful band that over the years has made me grow with death in my heart... NEVER

Fun fact: After a concert they held before the release of "Suicide," Nekrokrist SS found a woman who had committed suicide in their hotel room, with her veins cut and lying on the floor. The band members didn't think twice, they took photos of the woman's corpse and included them in the "Suicide" booklet... now tell me how you could not love a band like that
