Second release with a bang for the talented band from Arezzo, one of the best acts in the Italian rock scene of the nineties. This "Paradisi per illusi" is a special album, created during a period when Negrita clearly knew what they wanted to do and they did it very well.
The work can be considered almost an EP since it is composed of only six tracks, each of which shows a strong influence from the "Black Crowes". The result is an engaging Blues-Rock with the inevitable funk influences that have characterized the group since their self-titled debut in 1994; the compositions are all united by the theme of the journey as a dream, rebellion, and sharp critique of society.
Worth highlighting is "War," an aggressive hard-blues mix where both Cesare on guitar and Zama on drums are in excellent form, without taking anything away from the other members of the group; and the ballad "Io Sono," which features a ghost track consisting of an excellent instrumental remake of the second track "Vai, ragazzo vai".
For genre lovers, an album to dust off and preserve with care.
