LA RECENSIONE

When a renowned foreign group (for example Turbonegro) cites an Italian one as a source of inspiration, you can't help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction.
This is the case with Negazione, a band that disbanded almost 10 years ago when the group was at the peak of success, consecrated with their headliner participation at "Monsters of Rock" (45,000 people).

V2, engaged in a commendable effort to recover some historic Italian bands, releases this collection that features 2 unreleased tracks and 21 tracks taken from the group's now almost unobtainable (almost all) albums.

In reality, the album is part of a broader project (there is also a website), managed by the musicians themselves to celebrate and remember that incredible adventure. The full and direct management of the band on this project ensures the quality of the album, whose content can be supplemented by the many free mp3s available on the site.

The beginning is entrusted to the unreleased "Giochi nel vento," while it closes with a thrilling remix of "Tutti pazzi" that hints at developments of what could have been and was not. For the rest, the selection includes all the "classics," drawing a path that describes the true essence of the group, on the boundary line between punk and hardcore with some well-chosen acoustic openings ("Il giorno del sole," "Sempre in bilico").

It is a sober, genuine album, devoid of self-congratulation that aims to be the faithful snapshot of a bright and coherent career. Always. Does it seem little to you?
