ALLURE, Instants crush (evitable the Edit version, which has been circulating online for a few months) is "well done," as well as simplified. Hearing I.Melt You, T'he Summers, I.W.F.Y.i.t.O. and Goodbye In his Eyes was absolutely like listening to unreleased tracks for me, so only by the third listen did I realize that the lyrics don't say much, and the contour neither irritates nor ever inspires passion. The remaining covers, except the annoying Naked (as we came), are of a more serious nature with electric guitars used to embellish and without those cliché mainstream chords present, for example, in Shivers, Day, or Why.
Some covers last not even three minutes, a formula that I didn't like, making the album itself barely any better than the previous major "misstep" COME INTO LIFE!
I walk out: and in my ears, the Devo are playing
