"Now that I have lost my sight I see more...SBAAAM" (Metropolis Part 3-The Legacy).

The metal Elio and Le Storie Tese are finally back!! 5 years after the hilarious "Other Bands Play, Nanowar Gay" the tiny men from Rome have taken up their battle weapons once more, forged from a fine steel mantle, and returned to mock and ridicule, once again. It's truly difficult to find the words to decipher the magnitude of mockeries and parodies with which this new "Into Gay Pride Ride" is filled, without resorting to lengthy (and currently quite fashionable) lists that may or may not be exhaustive. As can be deduced from the addition of the suffix "Of Steel" to their moniker, Rhapsody of Fire are the main targets this time around, specifically their two leaders Lione (listen to the gem 1 vs 100) and Turilli, better known as Looca Toorilli/Luca Tour Hill/Looma Turilli's.

The most substantial step forward for our guys – as well as what makes them stand out the most – lies in the fact that, friends, today Nanowar can truly afford to mock anyone from the height of their technical prowess honed over the years through performances that have taken them abroad with considerable followings; singers Baffo and Potowotominiak indeed make quite the impression as they effortlessly play with very high notes (Nanowar - Blood Of The Queens) and disarming vocal tones (RAP-sody) that will have you laughing so hard you'll be forced to hit stop on your player just to catch your breath. Even the performances of Mohammed and Jesse, the guitarists, support the previously stated thesis: in certain cases, the two launch into well-executed solos, in addition to accompanying the songs in the best way possible; even the production, previously the Achilles’ heel for our guys, truly shines (despite being in analog) thanks to the work of the Storx Studios folks.

I have purposefully neglected to enumerate and describe the individual songs because I believe that the best fun for this genre of music is, booklet in hand, to decipher, track by track, the targets of various mockeries; and if we add that the whole platter can be downloaded for free from the website, I can't see any hesitations keeping you from at least listening to this "Into Gay Pride Ride," while preparing – as a suggestion – your jaws for about fifty minutes of hard work.

It seems that Gli Atroci, in terms of metal musical madness, have met their match!!

p.s. may God DeMaio forgive me for uttering words regarding this sacrilegious travesty...
