Mythra

Mythra are an English NWOBHM band formed in 1976 in South Shields. The classic lineup named in contemporary reviews is Vince High (vocals), John Roach (guitar), Maurice Bates (guitar), Peter Melsom (bass) and Barry Hopper (drums). Their 1979 EP 'Death And Destiny' is their best-known release.

Influences cited include Black Sabbath, UFO and Humble Pie. Played shows alongside Raven, Saxon, White Spirit and Angel Witch. Later releases mentioned in reviews: 1998 'The Death & Destiny EP' (tracks from the first record plus 1980 and 1981 demos) and 2003 'The Darkened.'
