The Profile

Mystic Prophecy is a German power metal band active since 2000, led by vocalist R.D. Liapakis, noted for a high-energy power/thrash style across a long-running discography.

The band is German. By the album Savage Souls, Gus G. had departed and was replaced by Marcus Pohl and Martin Grimm; drummer Dennis Ekdahl left and was replaced by Matthias Straub. The label shifted from Nuclear Blast to Massacre. Savage Souls was produced by R.D. Liapakis and mixed by Fredrik Nordström.

Hellring reviews Mystic Prophecy’s fourth album, Savage Souls. The German band shifts from Nuclear Blast to Massacre and overhauls its lineup. Sonically it’s robust, American-influenced power/thrash with nods to Iced Earth and Metal Church. Strong moments exist, but melodic variety is limited. Produced by R.D. Liapakis and mixed by Fredrik Nordström; rated 3/5.
