As always, hello everyone.
The other day, in a really bad mood, I was searching through my CD collection for an album to listen to in the car to vent my nerves. Well well, what do I find?
I find an album that saw the light in 2001. An album that, in my opinion, fits the case perfectly. An angry work. The album in question is "A Prayer Under Pressure Of Violent Anguish" by My Ruin.
Or perhaps I should say Tairrie B. And who doesn’t know this sweet young lady?! So calm? Don’t names like Manhole, Tura Satana come to mind? Well, it’s always her, crazier than ever!!!
In this album, the lineup features Mick Murphy on guitars, Meghan Mattox on bass, and Chris Hamilton from Downset on drums!
This girl has many talents. Her post-core, crossover is vulgar, angry, uncompromising, and shameless. In the past, with the aforementioned groups, she has already managed to let people know her radical ideas. My God, how angry this woman is!
In this album, Tairrie is back to shouting like crazy. It sounds like listening to the early Tura Satana. We have tracks like Beauty Fiend, Sanctuary, My War, Do You Love Me? which are real gems, little treasures.
Mick Murphy's six-string is precise, dynamic, violent, and at times slowed down. It starts, lets loose, then stops for a second, then goes with powerful riffs for classic pogo galore and then the skins are pounded by Chris Hamilton, Downset school!!! In short, a definitely violent approach in which the enraged voice tears mercilessly while sonorous slashes and deadly breaks are abundantly distributed. A dose of visceral metal stripped to the bone, to have!!!
