THE REVIEW

Indoor concerts, as we know, have both an advantage and a disadvantage compared to those in stadiums: the advantage is that the connection with the band is much more direct, the disadvantage is that after just half an hour, you die of heat and risk fainting. Well, on this evening, the ecstasy and great night of Matt and company contributed to not suffering at all from the heat that was in the Saschall of Florence.

Only two discordant notes from the entire evening: the opening band (Cave In, absolutely unbearable, especially when the bassist was on vocals) and the short duration of the Muse's live show, just an hour and a half or slightly more, but they made up for it with a fantastic performance.
The start was spectacular, with "Apocalypse Please" (also the opening of Absolution) followed by "Hysteria," "New Born," and "Sing For Absolution;" one might say, it couldn't have been better!
As the evening progressed, almost all the tracks from Absolution, their new and beautiful album, were performed. Also to be mentioned is a moving solo piano interlude performed by Matt with a splendid moon slowly moving across the giant screen behind the band.
Additionally, all the classics from the past were played, from "Bliss" to "Muscle Museum," from "Feeling Good" to "Sunburn," from "Plug In Baby" to "Space Dementia," making the setlist exceptional! The band's state of form was also excellent. "Time Is Running Out" was incredible, performed at its peak, during which all of us (about 5000) were jumping and singing without catching our breath!
The two closing tracks (in my opinion perfectly chosen) were "Blackout" (epic, nothing else to say!) and the captivating "Stockholm Syndrome," during which a shower of yellow confetti was opened with an extraordinary optical impact.
The best-performed track was certainly "Citizen Erased," with a reckless Matt as always.

An unforgettable evening.
Currently, I think they are, if not the best, certainly one of the greatest live bands out there! Excellent.
