The Motorpsycho don’t stop! Sure, this may not be their best album (or maybe it is? It depends on your taste), but it represents a new evolution in their sound, combining acoustic and/or psychedelic songs equally with more typically rock ones. It's an album similar to Timothy’s Monster, but let's say while that was harder and more colorful, this is more balanced, it slips into the ears without you even realizing it.

The beginning is electrifying, with three truly exceptional songs. "Sinful, Wind-Borne" has an ingenious riff and a great impact, "Drug Thing" hits really hard, perfectly played, "Greener" manages to be poetic and catchy yet psychedelic in a way that only they can do. All three have Floydian guitar solos that could make many envious.

The rest is perhaps less remarkable even though there are some small masterpieces like "True Middle", with the narrating voice that suddenly gets interrupted by guitar riffs and a spine-tingling instrumental final part, the ballad "Manmower" is wonderful, although placing two acoustic songs one after the other isn't ideal. Also good is "The Nerve Tattoo" where keyboards also come into play. Disappointments, however, come from the suite "STG" which, despite an interesting ambient finale, is somewhat disappointing as the main piece of the album because of an unconvincing first part. So far, it would be between 4 and 5, only that at the end they add the unnecessary "Nathan Daniel’s Tune From Hawaii" which doesn't fit with the rest and gets skipped after 1 or 2 minutes.

Let's put it this way, apart from the last one, there's no bad song but one would have certainly expected more given the previous double CD. Perhaps it's also an unfortunate album as it finds itself among the group's masterpieces. Moreover, it's important because it marks the transition from Motorpsycho's early works to the band's new style, which will take shape in the next, beautiful, Angels And Daemons At Play.

It’s just an itch beneath the skin
I can’t get it out or seal it in
I can’t dislodge the need to scratch it
screaming from it’s root
it’s an echo inside my head
a need to say what can’t be said
it’s the nerve tattoo,such a bad rash
spiteful and divine

but thats OK
it doesn’t matter anyway
it’s still those with the least to say
that will be heard...

ah,the elloquence of trash
the persuasiveness of cash
rings true like the whispered lies
of half-forgotten lullabyes;
designed to please ,
designed to soothe
designed to shift amillion units or two
designed to mean nothing at all
for anyone

but thats OK
it doesn’t matter anyway
it’s still those with the least to say
that will be heard...

it’s no misunderstanding
it’s all emptiness and words
I’d cut my veins to paint it as
beautifully meaningless-
picturesque and absurd
....it’s a masterpiece I heard

The Void has never been so thunderous in its inevitability, a monologue that assaults and aims at our throats.

Ten intense minutes are enough to surrender to his sonic embrace, leaving behind the delirious confusion of youth.

"Sinful, Wind-borne offers moments of such intensity that I remain motionless at every listen because nothing else needs to be done when everything is already there."

"Blissard is the kind of music that comes from the stomach, the immortal kind, the kind they made their own and that no one has ever managed to reproduce with the same poetry."

I call this portal Blissard, perhaps everyone who knows it calls it Blissard.

The planet now reminds me of a renewed home, helps me not to forget where I came from.
