Mother Island are a Vicenza-based group playing psychedelic-leaning rock with touches of blues and power-pop. Their debut Cosmic Pyre (2015, vinyl) and second album Wet Moon (2016) earned favorable reviews for cohesion and singer Anita's charisma. Review highlights vintage influences (Jefferson Airplane, Pink Floyd) and modern touches (My Bloody Valentine, Brian Jonestown Massacre).

For:Fans of psychedelic rock, vintage-inspired music, and retro-leaning indie rock.

Together, they are Mother Island and play music generally definable as psychedelic, as suggested by their name – Mother Island derives from a distorted reference to the hallucinogenic mushroom known as mother iceland – and the covers of their albums, inspired by the psychedelic art that was popular in the sixties.
