THE REVIEW

The very distant 1990 of Moby, namely the exquisite debut single that bears the name "Mobility."

What he offers us is a jungle seasoned with skillful minimal games, where you can already glimpse an uncommon class.

The early stages of Moby, when he wandered around raves with a lost air but with a thousand firm and determined ideas in his head, are of the highest interest. A Dadaist electronic artist who, fearlessly, will go on to propose dance with "Move" or cover Mission Of Burma!

If you are tired of the serious and mature staticity of the latest albums, with "Mobility" you can savor the first brilliant ideas. Namely the base that will be expanded and shaped with the eponymous 1992 album and "Everything Is Wrong."

"Mobility" is a six-minute fluxus where a seminal beat is established for productions of the following decades. IDM and chillout are the echoes that arrive from the indecipherable stylistic proposal of this genius, who has committed the only (big) sin of overestimating himself.

The ethereal and chameleon-like ambience of 808 State is personalized and transformed into an obsessive and at times suggestive trance.

The period where the purity of the artist played serenely with the freedom of sounds.
