LA RECENSIONE

"I hate the ignorant masses and I keep them away", translation of this second album by Miss Violetta Beauregarde.

Admit it, you're wondering "who the hell is this?" I'll explain it to you: this girl has been involved in music since the old days when she founded Porno Nause with Roberta Samarelli (bassist of Verdena) in Bergamo. The problem (which isn't really a problem!) is that she played punk hc and for years, after leaving that project, she played in many other projects always in that genre. Then, at a certain point, she got fed up with all the crap with the other members, because you should know she's not a calm person, but tough and a troublemaker. So, she met a guy who told her: "I have everything you need to make music on your own!" (that way she no longer had to worry about other people's crap, only her own); have you ever seen someone play a bass, a guitar, a drum set and simultaneously sing with a harsh hc voice?!? Of course not, but if you take the right equipment, a completely modified answering machine and accompany it with a 9 euro toy keyboard, you have in front of you Violetta's musical setup, well I forgot the main instrument: the microphone. On the microphone, Violetta projects waves traveling at a deadly frequency. Her voice is reminiscent of Bikini Kill and Kim Gordon. The bases are so much Atari Teenage Riot-Prodigy-Pan Sonic-classic rock-glitch for kids.

Speaking of the album, the second to be precise, you notice the refined side in the titles. The girl enjoys playing with words and the idiots surrounding the world... The tracks are 16, with a duration of about 24 minutes, and some have a poppy melodic line while others are pure aggression, others are rocky, some are sickly, others pure noise, in short, judge for yourselves, just make sure you judge well-buahahahahhaha. Want some of the titles?!?!? "Flanger When You Die" (untranslatable), "Indie Bad, Gabber Good" (brilliant), already translated: "The Sentimental Side of Hadolf Hitler", this one is hilarious...

Sure, it lacks that more catchy song compared to the others but I think Violetta wipes her ass with the indie catchiness of these times... oh, I forgot, if you get the chance, see her live because it's a show. For those still hesitant, you can find something to listen to on MySpace.....
