THE REVIEW

DeBaser is haunting me.

I can no longer listen to music in peace as my thoughts immediately rush to form concepts with the intention of placing them in a review context. Nothing is the same as before.

For a few months now, I've felt the urge to return to these pages, but unfortunately, my daily life hasn't allowed me to do so yet. So, I take advantage of these carnival holiday days, and while lying on a hammock, I write enjoying this gentle breeze that soothes the scorching Brazilian heat.

It is with the excuse of wanting to give a slap to my ego, which would like me to make a grand comeback, that I chose this album by miRthkon. I absolutely know nothing about them except for what I am listening to. Listening makes me think that it must be true that Uncle Frank deserves credit for influencing part of the 21st-century rock music, pointing out one of the remaining paths for renewal; masterfully mixing genres and styles.

That the legacy of the 20th-century avant-garde, which fascinated me as much as it bored me, finds its greatest expression when incorporated into structures attributable to the rock genre. That the death of the record industry with the development of digital technology has freed many souls eager to play and record at their pleasure and in complete freedom, and has given back to us all music as the intangible heritage of humanity, and that finally, I rid myself of this bothersome fixation on publishing again.

Damn it!
