Following his departure from the group Diaframma, Miro Sassolini chose different paths, both artistic and otherwise; however, although somewhat fragmented and chaotic, a handful of (excellent) songs managed to emerge.
The tracks "Le cose da fare" and "Poche storie", recorded around 1990 with Sandro Braccini (already his colleague in Diaframma) and Fabio Provazza, would be "resurrected" in the collection "Sassolini sul fondo del fiume" by Diaframma released in 2002; the first is pleasant and melancholic, though slightly emphatic, with a beautiful, typically eighties sound, while the second is more rhythmic.
The other tracks (composed around the mid-nineties) with the group Van Der Bosch, in a project that was not only musical, in a collection named "Abel de la rue" remained (unfortunately) unpublished for a long time, and only recently, thanks to the internet, have they been heard.
These latter songs have a wonderfully retro structure, with many new wave reminiscences, but more baroque and varied compared to the Diaframma period, with a greater use of keyboards. Miro Sassolini's singing has absolutely not lost any brilliance over the years, if anything, it has perhaps even improved with more refined and eclectic tones.
Among the tracks, the dramatic "Pack", with a chilling vocal crescendo by Miro, the spirited "Rafrail", and the almost funky "Iguana" stand out.
