Who says smooth jazz is only Californian? This strange experiment without rhythm is entirely Italian. And for those who have followed the discography of these two artists, Mirko Fait and John Toso, this album marks somewhat of a turning point compared to their previous works, not because it completely departs from them, but especially because it shows a maturity that might be accentuated by the pairing itself. In fact, the work that sees the two musicians come together for the first time is a perfect symbiosis.

To the dreamlike atmospheres created by pianist Toso, sometimes with just a few notes, there is an intersection of arrangement, again by the pianist, of strings that highlight the romanticism of some tracks. A perfect contrast with the instrumental voice of Mirko Fait's sax, which, while supporting these melodies, sometimes urges them with jazzy phrasings up to irreverent sonic experiments.

In "Just for you," the title of the CD, two tracks in particular stand out for their originality: "Sex for money" and "Lives ago, far away". One specifically for the sonic exploration and the other for the unusual use of voices. Voices that evoke distant memories, perhaps distant lands or other lives as the title suggests!
But we should not forget the two very poignant tracks such as "Roxy life" written by John for his wife Roxana, or "Painting dreams" written by Mirko in honor of his father Camillo Fait, a great painter of international renown.

Even the cover of Italian Way Music speaks to us of love. It is no coincidence that the album was presented on Valentine's Day.
