THE REVIEW

The Mineral lasted too short. That's for sure. If they hadn't broken up, perhaps the Emo genre wouldn't have completely gone to hell. But it's always a pleasure to remember them.

"The Power of Failing" is a masterpiece of 90s Emocore/Indie Rock on par with "Diary" by Sunny Day Real Estate, masterpieces of a movement that had to face a giant named Grunge suffering its consequences, and it's truly a shame. To generate a torrent of emotions that overwhelms anyone, to make the listener travel as much as possible to the point that, while listening to the album in question, you have the impression of detaching your mind from your physical body and flying; these are the goals of Mineral, goals that "The Power of Failing" hits perfectly. With its sweet and soft melodies, its thundering guitar attacks that catapult you into a parallel world, the almost whispered voice. It is impossible not to fully live this album.

Unforgettable.
