In my opinion, one of the best punk albums released in the last two years.
Aware that after such a statement, the more impulsive readers will have already migrated to other pages, and the more moderate ones will have simply turned up their noses, for the more patient, curious, but above all genre enthusiasts, this is an album to own.
The reasons that lead me to think this about this Swedish quartet that has been frequenting the best stages of the international punk scene for about ten years are numerous.
The first is undoubtedly the sound: a clean punk, full of power chords and enveloping riffs, with drums taking the lead but never overlapping with the other instruments.
Technically skilled but without overdoing it. I am convinced that the best way to express this kind of music is far from the instrumental virtuosity attributable to the individual members of a band.
The singer's voice is gritty and full of personality, certainly far from the sterile and muffled tones in the style of Greenday or Blink 182.
The combination of these components creates an album that, while not bringing novelty to the genre expressed by the band in other productions, makes you nod your head from the first to the last minute.
And each time, you're left pumped with adrenaline, with the urge to go out for a spin despite the pouring rain.
Last praise I can give this band is that they have never sold out to ridiculous advertising or productions, sticking to their path and releasing a new album every two years. And to me, that's no small feat...
